Department of TCM was founded in 1955 and was made up of 10 famous doctors. Currently, the clinics of Department of TCM include internal medicine of TCM,gynecology of TCM, pediatrics of TCM, acupuncture, Chinese proctology, and traditional Chinese orthopedic surgery. The ward of TCM was established in 1988. In 2013, it was moved to the 3rd ward building with 60 hospital beds. National drug clinical trial research agency has approved the establishment of orthopedics and traumatology of Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine anorectal as drug clinical trial research base. It won 4 national invention patents and 6 science and technology progress awards. Now, it develops into a comprehensive department focusing on medical clinical, teaching, scientific research.
Department of TCM is equipped with advanced operation examination and treatment equipment, such as, massage traction bed produced by Germany and American, leading domestic constitution identification instrument, automatic constant temperature fumigating bed, super laser analgesia instrument, multifunctional moxibustion therapeutic apparatus, ultrasound conductivity meter, electric acupuncture apparatus, stepping on the traction bed, anorectal pressure determination instrument. There are 60 people in the dept., including 4 chief physicians, 8 associate chief physicians, 4 doctors, 10 masters of medicine. And the clinic includes internal medicine of TCM, gynecology of TCM, pediatrics of TCM, acupuncture, Chinese proctology and traditional Chinese orthopedic surgery, disease preventive treatment center. In 2013, it has more than 100 thousand outpatients, more than 3000 in-patients, patients with anorectal operation more than 2000 times.

The characteristics of nursing in Department of TCM
